Healthcare cloud platform selection is more complex than the provider marketing materials suggest. AWS, Azure, and GCP all offer HIPAA BAAs, but the scope of BAA coverage differs substantially across services within each platform. ONC certification under the 21st Century Cures Act creates specific technical requirements for health IT developers.
